Distance Covered:

Got in rather early and AndyW was arriving at the same time. I decide to rig up because the winds on shore were blowing nicely to a 13 knots avg with gusts to 17. Brilliant sailing winds for a 14meter Amp. Rigged up and self-launched only to find out that it was actually blowing a bit more higher than sea level. Took me about 30 secs to get my first loft.
Managed to get to the water and had about two runs before getting smacked by a wave which then made getting up on my feet rather hard as I kept being lofted out of the water without enough time to get into my footstraps. By the time AndyW got in the water I was already taking my first rest and hoping the wind would calm down. Two more attempts followed with similar results. The last one told it was time to pack up as I had the kite as depowered as it gets and it was still overpowering me.

Smaller kite might have produced an avg waveriding session.
